The Difference Between Static And Scanning Led Display

If the chips on the LED display screen are lit when the LED screen displays text,  images, and videos at the same time, then it means that the display screen is a static screen. If the chips on the LED screen are like scanning, it uses the characteristics of human visual persistence to light up each row of the LED screen in a short period,  so the screen is called a scanning screen.
Since the LED screen is driven by the duty cycle, the brightness of the LED display has a great relationship with the period of lighting time. Therefore, outdoor display screens are generally static screens, and indoor display screens are mostly scanning screens. However, many outdoor LED display screens now have scanning screens as well for the reason that the brightness of the LED light-emitting tube is already bright enough with the LED material technology is more and more mature. On the one hand, people can use outdoor scanning screens to save costs, on the other hand, outdoor scanning screens have high requirements for the control and driving parts, and also have stringent specifications for the driving chips. 
Driving of Static Display:
Static driving is also called DC driving. Static driving means that each segment of each digital tube is driven by an Input/Output port of a single-chip microcomputer. The advantages of static driving are high brightness  and simple programming. The disadvantage is that it occupies much more Input/Output ports. Therefore, drivers must be added for driving in actual applications, which increases the complexity of the hardware circuit.
Driving of Dynamic Display: 
The interface of digital tube dynamic display is one of the most widely used display methods in the single-chip microcomputer. The dynamic driving is to combine all the display strokes of the digital tube“a, b, c,  d, e, f” The ends of the same name of “g” are connected,  and a bit gating control circuit is added to the common pole COM of each nixie tube.  The bit gating is controlled by each independent Input/Output line. When the single-chip microcomputer outputs the font code, All the nixie tubes will receive the same font code, but the nixie tube displays the font depending on the microcontroller’s control of the bit gate COM terminal circuit,  so we only need to turn on the gate control of the nixie tube which needs to be displayed. The bit will display the font, and the digital tube without strobe will not light up.
